Backup targets

Two types:

  • Southern targets to avoid winds; can be as faint as primary targets

Each observer needs to develop both types of backup programmes for their trips. RLD wants to verify these, deadline 1 month before trip starts (end of Sept for first P92 run)

New targets MUST BE APPROVED by ESO beforehand, if required for the backups.

  • Magdis: needs to make the case to PATT for being the second observer.
  • Observers: need to develop both types of backup programmes for their trips. Davies wants to verify these, deadline 1 month before trip starts (end of Sept for first P92 run)
